Leigh York
At 26, Leigh found her niche. Her real estate agent suggested that she get a license and begin selling real estate. Leigh said the last thing she wanted to do was look at houses all day. Laughingly, the agent replied, "Good. Because where you are moving there are no houses.” You see, Leigh was selling her house so that she could marry a farmer and move to ‘the middle of nowhere’. The real estate agent went on to explain various career opportunities in real estate and suggested Farm & Ranch sales. Growing up in a small town and being around ranching most of her life, Leigh had some necessary background. And so, it began.
Leigh got busy with real estate and facilitated many farm and ranch sales. She began to specialize in new construction and development. Her career took off. Leigh took every opportunity to continue her education. She attended every class, seminar or convention she could get to. Some of these meetings awarded continuing education credits and designation credits. So, she’s racked up the designations.
Unable to do only one thing at a time, Leigh began teaching pre-licensing and continuing education for the real estate industry in Texas. Sometime later, she went to work for another broker managing a three office CENTURY 21 franchise. Leigh is great at managing but not so great at having a boss. So, eventually Leigh went back to sales and instruction.
About the same time that Leigh was getting back into sales and instruction she partnered for a new business. Consulting and Training U is a business born of ambition, education, talent and the desire to share it all. Leigh and her partner had been doing business together in the real estate industry for approximately ten years. Shaundra had been a classroom guest for Leigh on a number of occasions. They knew they had knowledge to share and chemistry together. So, they took the leap and formed the business.

Shaundra Hardt
“If you are going to dream, dream big” has always been Shaundra’s motto. She aspired to be a mad scientist during childhood, which led to several unauthorized explosions. Shaundra graduated high school Magna Cum Laude and attended Texas A&M University on a presidential scholarship. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
While applying to NASA, Shaundra was also working temporary jobs to fund her upcoming wedding to her college sweetheart. Fate is a funny thing. The first full time job she was sent to was at a mortgage company. The financial world of mortgage banking soon peaked Shaundra’s interest. Understanding the importance of education, Shaundra dedicated herself to attending classes and accruing certifications. She quickly ascended from copy girl to vice president.
Industry education is important, but so is experience. During Shaundra’s 15 years in the industry she has earned a reputation as the “go to girl” with on-hand knowledge to resolve issues quickly. She is a valuable resource to many. Shaundra is also known for her people skills and coaching abilities. She now shares her education and experience with the clientele of Consulting and Training U.
